Cloud Seeding
![]() |
| Cloud Seeding chemical generators that shoot the silver iodide in the air. |
When I first heard "cloud seeding" sounded like something from science fiction. I recently learned that the Los Angeles Department of Public Works used this in our most recent rain storm. So what is cloud seeding, it is a way to manipulate cloud condensation to produce more rain. The Manipulation is done by dispensing silver iodide in to the atmosphere. This practice has been around since the 1950's. More information here and here. This boost rainfall by 15%.

Raining and sprinkles are on

And this person still decides to have their sprinklers are on. An example of how it is crucial we change our relationship with water.
